Result

Stothers M&E contacted John J Doyle Ltd to design, supply and install a new flue system to suit the 3 new 150kw gas-fired condensing boilers at the Levine Building.

Flue calculations were completed in-house to determine the overall common header size.

Careful consideration was required to maintain the integrity of the historic building.  Numerous offsets were required to follow the only suitable route within the building. Another key factor was the termination of this flue system. The architect required that the flue remain discrete at termination level with a zinc-clad chimney.

John J Doyle Ltd provided consultation and designs to meet the aesthetic requirements and regulations set out in UP10 – Installation of Flued Gas Appliances in Industrial and Commercial Premises.

Once the final design was agreed, the installation was completed within one week, on time and budget. All chimney and flue products were supplied and installed CE Marked and compliant with European and regional standards.
