Result
BI Electrical Services awarded John J Doyle Ltd the contract to design, supply and install the flue systems for Northern Ireland Housing Executive, Strangford House. This project required flue systems to suit 2 new Nesta condensing boilers.
Calculations were completed in-house to determine the most efficient flue sizing for the boilers. Dinak DWJ was selected in 180Ø and 250Ø.
John J Doyle Ltd was scheduled to complete the flue installation within 3 days to ensure the boilers could be commissioned to supply the building with heat and limit disruption as the staff car park had to be closed for MEWP access.
The materials for this project are standard stock projects in our warehouse allowing for a quick installation.
The Dinak DWJ stainless steel 180Ø flue rises from the back of each boiler connecting into a 250Ø common header. The header then rises within the boiler house, travelling horizontally with a 3° fall to the exterior. The flue then connects into 135° tee piece and rising approximately 10m, clipped to the exterior of the building, terminating 1.6m above roof level complying with all European and regional standards.
The project was completed within the schedule of works and compliant with all regulations.
