Project Brief

Methodist College Belfast, locally known as ‘Methody’, is a co-educational voluntary grammar school in Belfast, located at the foot of the Malone Road, Northern Ireland. M

‘Methody’ has a rich history dating back to 1865, when Methodists in Ireland numbered only 23,000 out of a total population of six million.

More recently John J Doyle were asked to design and  install a commercial flue system for 1 No. Hamworthy Wessex Modumax condensing boiler. All flue works were completed within a fixed time period, all while the school was closed and to ensure no disruption.

Materials Used
  • Dinak DWJ Twin Wall 250Ø
Result

The 250Ø Dinak DWJ twin wall 316L stainless steel flue rises of the back manifold kit of the boiler before exiting horizontally to outside. Once outside the flue then rises via a 93degree tee, clipped to the exterior of the building. At high level the flue offsets around the roof overhang before terminating above roof level.
