Our air purifiers don’t collect pathogens… they deactivate them!
Traditional HEPA filters aren’t designed to be as effective, in the long-term, as our UV-C units. Unlike other types of filter, our units don’t reduce the air flow, or trap germs within the filters themselves. Instead they do one thing and they do that one thing extremely well – they are designed to deactivate airborne pathogens like COVID-19 in a single pass, rendering them harmless.
Why UV-C?
UV-C has been used used as a disinfectant for many years, mainly for surfaces, however Covid-19 research highlighted airborne transmission as a major route for spread of the disease. This has led to a wider discussion around the benefits of UV-C air sanitisers, and John J Doyle are delighted to now offer the Midterm UV-C Air Sanitiser.
Where increased ventilation is not practical, UVC air sanitisers are now recognised as the best option and approved in the latest Building Regulations. Air test results are conclusive in showing how quickly the levels of airborne pathogens are reduced when using UV-C air sanitisation.
