First, who is in charge of construction regulations?
The Construction Products Regulation (CPR)

What is the CPR?
The Construction Products Regulation (CPR) lays down rules for the sale of construction products within the EU.  The Regulation provides a common technical language for assessing the performance of construction products.  This ensures reliable information is available to professional, public authorities, and consumers, so they can compare the performance of products from manufacturers across European countries.

  • The CPR establishes the minimum performance requirements to ensure quality and safety, designated by the CE mark.
  • The CPR specifies tasks and responsibilities for manufacturers and notified bodies.
  • The CPR defines standards for each kind of product.

This is mandatory in all European countries.
